What is The Christ?
The Christ is an original musical theatre work that traces the story of Jesus of Nazareth through a human and universal lens, from his earthly journey to the crucifixion. It is an inter-denominational project centred on the man, his path, his message and his spiritual and cultural legacy.
Who composed the music?
The music is composed and orchestrated by Andrea Tosi. In 2024 he was on the Academy Awards shortlist for the film Imprinting.
Is it a religious or confessional show?
No. THE CHRIST is not a catechistic or confessional show. It is an inter-denominational work centred on universal values — love, justice, equality, inclusion.
Where will it be staged?
The Christ is designed for national and international distribution: Italy, Europe, London's West End, Broadway.
Who wrote the book / libretto?
The libretto is by Cristina Capozzi and Marco Todisco. Artistic collaboration by Mario Scaletta.
Is a presentation available?
Yes. A mini recital of approximately 40 minutes is available. See Presentation →
Has the show already premiered?
No. The Christ is currently in the production development phase.
