The Story
In AD 325, Emperor Constantine summons the bishops of the Empire to Nicaea to bring order to a doctrine spreading rapidly across the known world. From testimonies, accounts and memories emerges a figure who has marked the history of humanity: Jesus of Nazareth.
From this frame, the scenic narrative of THE CHRIST takes shape, following the entire arc of his existence, from childhood to crucifixion.
The journey begins on the banks of the Jordan, with John the Baptist, and continues through the encounter with the disciples, the parables, the miracles, the Sermon on the Mount, and the human relationships that accompanied his path.
The narrative moves through public moments and intimate ones, showing a man capable of speaking to crowds yet pausing before pain, doubt and fragility. A man who challenges the conventions of his time, placing at the centre the last, the forgotten, the excluded.
The story moves toward Jerusalem, between enthusiasm and conflict, up to the events leading to the Passion and crucifixion. An ending that is not an end, but an open question entrusted to the gaze of the audience.
Through music, song, dance and word, THE CHRIST restores an ancient story with a contemporary language, capable of speaking to the people of today, beyond any religious or cultural belonging.
